UAE Launching Online Trademark Filings

The Department of Trademarks in the Ministry of Economy issued a circular letter announcing that new electronic services will be launched on 6 December 2015, namely, filing of new trademark applications and submitting renewal applications for trademarks.

The Department of Trademarks will only accept online applications with respect to the above mentioned services as of said date and will no longer accept walk-in applications. Trademark agents, however, can send any official documents to the Cabinet of Ministry in Abu Dhabi.
