UAE to Double IPR Official Fees

Imran K. (Apr 20, 2015)

The government of the United Arab Emirates announced that the official fees for Intellectual Property Rights registration will be increased, covering trademarks, patents, copyrights and designs.

The Ministerial Decision No. 9 of 2015 set out rate increase for a wide range of services provided by the Ministry of Economy. The increase covers more issues than IPRs protection, such as establishing companies in the UAE and registering commercial agency agreements.

The said decision is due to be effective as from May 29, 2015.
